Jeremy G releases EP amid pandemic

While many have been complaining of boredom due to being restrained within the four walls of their homes because of the pandemic, artist Jeremy G made good use of the opportunity.

He composed many songs, four of which (“Someday,” “Who Knows,” “Forever Maybe” and key track “Sunflower”) are now included in his Extended Play album “Maybe Forever.” The singer said the album describes the five stages of love. The fifth song “By Your Side” is composed by Trisha Denise.

Jeremy says all the songs are relatable. “Who Knows” is for those “who are hesitant to take a leap of faith.” “By Your Side” is about expressing how much one values loved ones. “Someday” expresses hope for a relationship to work out in a long-distance relationship. “Sunflower” is about “coping up after a heartbreak” while “Forever Maybe” deals with the hope of a possible reconciliation with an ex.

The music video of “Sunflower” was released last Valentine’s Day. The EP can be streamed on various digital music platforms worldwide.

The former “The Voice Teens’” finalist performs regularly in ASAP and will act together with Andrea Brillantes, Seth Fedelin, Darren Espanto, AC Bonifacio Angela Ken and Sheen Belarmino, to name some, in the upcoming ABS-CBN and iQiyi production “Lyric and Beat.”

Having grown up in the United States, Jeremy hopes to bridge the gap between Filipino-Americans and the new generation through his own music. He wishes to do a future collaboration with Gary Valenciano in either upbeat tracks or soulful ballads—even worship songs. This stems from his desire to learn where Mr. Pure Energy gets his “hugot” in the latter’s songs.

The singer shares a tip to new songwriters, something which he himself got from Gary V: “Just write whatever your heart says.”
