Over 1.2M vaccinated in Zamboanga City

THE Zamboanga City Health Office (CHO) reported that a total of 1,260,813 individuals have received the vaccines against coronavirus disease (Covid-19) since the vaccination rolled out in the city in March 2021.

The CHO data showed that 640,073 have received their first dose of vaccines, while the remaining 620,740 got their second dose.

The CHO said Zamboanga City is now 71.42 percent partially vaccinated and 69.26 percent fully vaccinated based on the Department of Health (DOH)-set target of 896,200 population to be inoculated.

Majority of the partially vaccinated are frontliners in essential sector who fall under A4 priority group with 160,341.

The rest of the partially vaccinated are as follows: workers in frontline health services (A1), 19,235; senior citizens (A2), 52,038; individuals with comorbidity (A3), 70,917; indigents (A5), 113,341; rest of the population (ROP), 114,645; pediatrics with comorbidity (12-17 years old), 1,843; and rest of the pediatric population (ROPP) aged 12 to 17, 94,165; pediatric with comorbidity aged five to 11 years old, 212; and ROPP aged five to 11, 13,336.

The CHO said the A4 priority group also comprised the majority of the fully vaccinated individuals with 154,003.

The remaining fully vaccinated individuals are the following: 18,596, A1; 54,002, A2; 78,449, A3; 109,468, A5; 115,435, ROP; 1,383, pediatrics with comorbidity (12-17 years old); 88,904, and, ROPP aged 12 to 17.

There is no fully vaccinated yet among pediatrics aged five to 11 since the vaccination of the age group has just started on February 9. (SunStar Zamboanga)
