211 cops under internal security training

TWO-HUNDRED eleven policemen are undergoing a 60-day Basic Internal Security Operation Course (Bisoc) in Parang, Maguindanao.

The Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), said the training kicked off Tuesday, March 1, with Police Brigadier General Arthur Cabalona, PRO-BAR director, as the keynote speaker.

“Surrendering ourselves in training is an integral part of fulfilling our promise to become well-rounded public servants. It represents a prime opportunity to expand our knowledge base as public servants,” Cabalona said.

The training is being held at Camp General Salipada K. Pendatun in Parang, Maguindanao and facilitated by the Regional Special Training Unit–BAR.

Cabalona said the training is designed to hone the trainees' abilities to be effective and skilled police officers through immediate action drills, land navigation, water search and rescue, and other important modules that will improve their skills and knowledge in security operations such as counter-terrorism, anti-criminality, special operations, and anti-insurgency operations in order to maintain peace and security BARMM.

The participants of the training belong to the Bisoc Class Malantas. (SunStar Zamboanga)
