MOABOT ngadto sa 28 ka mga barangay ug usa ka lungsod sa Central Visayas (CV) gipaubos sa deliberasyon gikan sa Pebrero 28 ngadto sa Marso 1 alang sa drug-cleared status.
Ang proseso gipasiugdahan sa mga sakop sa Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing (ROCBDC) nga gipangulohan ni Director lll Levi Ortiz, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 director, nga mao usab ang chairman sa ROCBDC.
Sa 27 ka mga barangay, lima niini naa sa Negros Oriental, lima sa lalawigan sa Bohol, 16 sa probinsya sa Sugbo ug usa sa siyudad sa Mandaue.
Samtang, ang lungsod sa Poro, isla sa Camotes, maoy labing unang munisipyo sa rehiyon 7 nga ni-apply nga mahimong drug cleared municipality nga gipaubos na sa deliberation.
Ang matag kandidato nga barangay ug lungsod nipakita sa ilang best practices sa pagpatuman sa ilang Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP)atol sa deliberasyon.
Ang maong programa gituyo sa pagmugna aron moabag sa mga barangay pagbatok sa illegal nga drugas diin sila mismo mohimog pamaagi nga ma control ang problema sa drugas sa ilang dapit.
Si Ortiz gidayeg sa barangay officials nga naningkamot nga masulosyonan ang problema sa illegal nga drugas sa ilang dapit nga usa sa mga programa ni Presidente Rodrigo Duterte bisan sa mga hagit nga ilang gisagubang.
Dugang ni Ortiz nga ubos sa BDCP, magpadayon ang pag monitor ug validation sa maong mga barangay aron masiguro nga ang drug cleared masustiniran.
“We again would like to highlight key areas in the process to avoid misconceptions. Before an applicant barangay is granted the drug-cleared status, identified drug personalities must undergo appropriate intervention programs. This includes enrollment to a rehabilitation or reformation program or the conduct of anti-illegal drug operations,” dugang ni Ortiz.
“Once the barangay is declared as drug-cleared, law enforcement efforts will continue to ensure immediate intervention in the event there is a reemergence of illegal drug activities,” matod ni Ortiz.
Ang ROCBDC gilangkuban sa PDEA isip chairman uban sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) isip vice chair, ug Department of Health (DOH), Philippine National Police (PNP) ug local government units (LGUs) isip mga member.
