Covid-19 bed occupancy in Pampanga down to 7.8%

ALL of the 45 health facilities in Pampanga are now experiencing a decrease in the number of bed occupancies from coronavirus disease (Covid-19) patients as of Thursday, March 3, said the Department of Health (DOH).

The rate of occupancy in Pampanga was at 7.8 percent as of Friday, March 4, the lowest yet since the Omicron variant-driven surge. This meant that 1,200 of the total 1,301 hospital beds in Pampanga are available.

Some 43 health facilities in Pampanga were at the safe level with the ongoing decrease in cases.

The Department of Health’s (DOH) official coronavirus tracker placed the total number of confirmed cases in Pampanga since the start of the pandemic to some 87,980 cases with 85,221 recoveries.

As of March 3, the total number of active cases in Pampanga was down to 914.

The province also recorded three new cases on Thursday, March 3, one of the lowest cases logged since the Omicron-driven surge.

Some 1,845 people in Pampanga have died from the disease since the start of the pandemic.
