Pampanga logs 19 new Covid cases

SOME 19 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Pampanga on Friday, March 4, 2022, according to the latest data from the coronavirus tracker of the Department of Health.

This brought the total number of active cases in Pampanga to 913 cases. At least 14 of the new active cases were from Angeles City while five cases were from different cities and towns of the province.

In the City of San Fernando alone, one new active case was recorded on Friday. Total active cases in the city came down to six cases. Only four barangays of this capital city recorded active coronavirus cases.

Total confirmed cases in the province stood at 87,999 since the start of the pandemic. Some 85,240 of these confirmed cases have long since recovered.

Deaths from the virus since the start of the pandemic now stood 1,846 cases.

Pampanga’s bed occupancy rate among its 45 health facilities was at 7.6 percent. The dwindling number of coronavirus cases resulted in lesser bed occupancy in 43 health facilities of the province. Some 1,198 beds were available.
