2 fall in anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City

TWO drug suspects were arrested while more than P10,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, the police reported Saturday, March 5, 2022.

Police Lieutenant Leah May Alameda, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Bensar Tuttoh alias Bebe, 22, and Benjar Jalad, 34.

Alameda said Tuttoh was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 8:12 p.m. Friday, March 4, in Sitio Lapu-Lapu, Arena Blanco village, Zamboanga City.

Alameda said seized from Tuttoh were some 1.2 grams of suspected shabu packed in four heat-sealed plastics sachets with a standard drug price of P8,160 and two bills of P100 as marked money.

She said Jalad was arrested in another anti-drug operation around 8:26 p.m. Friday, March 4, in Campo Islam village, Zamboanga City.

She said recovered from Jalad were some P2,500 worth of suspected shabu and P500 marked money.

She said the suspects were detained while formal charges have been set to be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
