THE City Government unveiled on Tuesday, March 8, the newly rehabilitated Women Crisis Center in Zone 4 village, Zamboanga City.
Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said the project was implemented in line with the celebration of the International Women's Day.
Salazar said the facility is a testament of her administration's commitment to women protection and welfare.
The facility houses a unit of the Department of Justice-led Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking, as most of the victims are women and children.
The project cost P2.65 million and was implemented by a private contractor under the supervision of the City Engineer's Office.
Present during the turnover were City Prosecutor Ricardo Cabaron and staff, City Social Welfare and Development Office personnel manning the facility and villages officials, among others. (SunStar Zamboanga)
