PENBANK Inc., the banking arm of the RD Group of Companies, has opened its new branch at the A-Strip Commercial Center, V. Rama Ave., Cebu City to make its services more accessible to customers and provide personalized services including loans for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), auto loans, housing loans and commercial loans, among others.

This branch of PenBank (formerly located on P. del Rosario St.) is now in a better and bigger space with ample parking to cater to its growing clients in both downtown and uptown Cebu.

“We realized that there are no banks in this area. As a banker, financial partner, a private development bank and a monetary consultant with a goal of helping SMEs predominantly to the middle-income earner, we took the opportunity to have a better place in order to cater to our clients,” said Eugene Bana-ay Jr., regional manager of PenBank-Cebu.

According to the company’s president and chief executive officer Conrado Olarte, who attended the event virtually, the new location will help them reach some of their company goals such as building new relationships and maintaining long-term client relationships founded on mutual trust and confidence.

The grand opening and ribbon-cutting was attended by the RD Group of Companies director and PenBank vice chairman Roy Rivera, who also delivered an inspirational message on how they were able to level up with the competition and be at par with other banking industries amid the pandemic.

Nurtured by prudent and innovative management, PenBank now has 32 branches nationwide with six branches in Cebu. Two of these are located in Cebu City, two in Mandaue City and one each in the cities of Lapu-Lapu and Talisay.
