POLICEMEN have arrested one of the most wanted persons in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported Friday, March 11, 2022.
Police Colonel Diomarie Albarico, Zamboanga del Sur police director, identified the arrested suspect as Nasser Maon, 56, a fisherman.
Albarico said Maon was nabbed in a law enforcement operation around 10:37 a.m. Thursday, March 10, in Purok 3, East Migpulao village, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur.
He said Maon has a standing warrant of arrest for murder with no recommended bail dated December 10, 2021 and issued by the court of San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.
He said the arrested suspect was listed as the number one most wanted person in the town of Dinas.
He said Maon is temporarily detained at Dinas Municipal Police Station custodial facility while waiting for commitment order from the court. (SunStar Zamboanga)
