UCFC adds another Cebuano to roster

DEFENDING Philippines Football League (PFL) champion United City FC (UCFC) added another Cebuano to its 2022 roster.

UCFC announced that it signed Cebuano defender Dean Ebarle to the squad for the upcoming PFL Copa Paulino Alcantara and the AFC Champions League.

UCFC earlier inked a deal with Cebuano striker Ivan Ouano.

The 23-year-old Ebarle is a teammate of Ouano in the Azkals Development Team. He also played for Kaya FC and Mendiola FC.

He also represented the Philippines in the youth level and is a product of the football program of Abellana National School. He also played collegiate football for De La Salle-College of St. Benilde.

UCFC also announced that it signed Argentine veteran Ricki Sendra in a transfer from Dynamic Herb Cebu FC.

UCFC also retained the services of Andreas Esswein, Kieran Hayes, Adam Reed, Arnie Pasinabo, Mark Hartmann, Curt Dizon, Pocholo Bugas, Mike Ott, Jun Badelic, Anthony Pinthus, Cebuano Jordan Jarvis, William Grierson and Hikaru Minegishi.

The other new faces are Tajik Amirbek Juraboev, Simen Lyngbo, South African JJ Robertson, Paolo Salenga and Cameroonian Sam Junior.

UCFC starts its campaign in the Copa Paulino Alcantara on March 22, 2022 against Maharlika Manila FC.

UCFC will then compete in the AFC Champions League in April. UCFC is in Group G along with Thailand’s BG Pathum United, Australia’s Melbourne City FC and Korea’s Jeonnam Dragons.
