ENERGY Secretary Alfonso Cusi urged the public to conserve energy amid the continuous increase in fuel prices.
As fuel prices continue to climb, Cusi suggested promotional discount programs to oil companies and reminded the public to conserve energy as much as possible.
He also said there might be an expected decrease in oil prices should situations in the world market improve.
Meanwhile, National Economic and Development Authority Secretary Karl Kendrick Chua said they are continuously monitoring inflation in the country, highlighting that the effects of increased fares and wages in the inflation rate will make the cost of living more challenging for vulnerable sectors.
President Rodrigo Duterte recently met with several cabinet members and top government officials and discussed various issues of national concern during this week’s Talk to the People in Davao City.
Duterte asked for the Filipino people's understanding and cooperation as the national government remains committed to come up with tangible economic recovery solutions to help affected Filipinos.
