ANOTHER drug suspect was arrested in an anti-illegal drugs operation in Iloilo City on Tuesday morning, March 15, 2022.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Dionardo Carlos identified the drug suspect as Jun Diestro alias “Kas/Ingke,” 44 years old.

Carlos said Diestro was nabbed through a joint intensified anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by operatives of Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU)-Western Visayas and Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Police Station 2 (PS2) Iloilo City Police Office in Barangay Loboc Lapuz around 7:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Recovered from the suspect were 24 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing substance believed to be shabu weighing more or less 35 grams and with an estimated standard drug price of P816,000.

Also recovered was the buy-bust money.

Diestro and the confiscated pieces of evidence are now in the custody of RPDEU-Western Visayas for documentation and proper disposition.

“I highly commend the members of our drug enforcement team from Iloilo for another successful anti-illegal drugs operation. Let us continue intensifying our strategies and inter-operability schemes on how to defeat the growing complexity and threat of illegal drugs and criminal elements to ensure security, and preserve public safety,” Carlos said.
