SELECTED employees of the Department of Agriculture (DA) have undergone a three-day Basic Photography Workshop from March 16, 2022 to March 18, 2022 in Pagadian City.
Yvette Avellaneda, regional information officer, said that the workshop aims to equip the employees with the basic photography skills to efficiently promote agricultural programs and services.
Avellaneda said that the participants were given tips, hands-on training in handling equipment like digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras and mobile smartphones.
She said they were also exposed in the field and on the streets to practice and hone their skills in photography.
DA Regional Executive Director Rad Donn Cedeño and Undersecretary for Consumer and Political Affairs Kristine Evangelista gave their full support and encouragement to the participants to give their best shot in the workshop.
The outstanding photographers during the workshop received awards and prizes.
Information and Advocacy Specialist, Dr. Joseph John Palaraca of the InfoACE Unit, Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) Project Support Office (PSO) Mindanao, and Media Production Officer, Leonard John Asuque served as the workshop’s resource persons. (SunStar Zamboanga)
