VULNERABLE sectors from Santa Rita town received vitamins and financial assistance from Second District Board Member Mylyn Pineda Cayabyab on Tuesday, March 22, as part of her program to assist sectors needing support amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The legislator extended support to some 1,500 individuals in Barangay San Basilio, as well as some 840 people from Barangays San Agustin, San Isidro and Diladila.
The beneficiaries were given cash assistance and vitamin supplements.
She said she aims to assure vulnerable sectors that the government of the province is one with them in their needs and concerns.
The distribution was also an opportunity for the board member to meet local residents and hear their concerns.
“We hope to reach people who have yet to receive anything amid this ongoing pandemic. It is a statement of assurance that their local government is here for them,” Pineda-Cayabyab said.
