THE Most Wanted Person in Cebu, a woman who allegedly killed her husband in 2021, has been arrested.

Merecris Tatoy Naveo, 29, was arrested at 9:10 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2022 in Sitio Lower Tawog, Barangay Valladolid, Carcar City, Cebu by operatives of the Carcar City Police Station, Cebu Police Provincial Office and Regional Intelligence Unit 7.

Presiding Judge Joy Redoble of the Regional Trial Court Branch 77 in Carcar City had issued an arrest warrant against Naveo for parricide, the Police Community Affairs and Development Group in Central Visayas said.

Naveo, a resident of Sitio Lawis, Barangay Valladolid, Carcar was also the sixth Most Wanted Person in Central Visayas, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The PNP did not give details on Naveo’s crime.

But a Facebook post by a certain Julius P. Naveo last March 16 that contained three photos of Merecris called on Facebook users all over the Philippines to contact the Carcar police if they ever caught sight of her.

He said an arrest warrant had already been issued against her.

Julius wrote that the police had been looking for Merecris since April 2021 for killing his older brother, who was Merecris’ husband.

Julius said Merecris killed her husband using a solid, full-face helmet.
