Hundreds benefit from Mabalacat's food program

HUNDREDS of residents in Mabalacat City, Pampanga benefitted from the food assistance program of the local government unit.

A total of 292 individuals -- 112 in Barangay Dapdap, 61 in Bundagul, 49 in Paralayunan -- received sacks of rice and packs of groceries on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

This is part of the City Government's Pagkain sa Hapag Kainan program spearheaded by Mayor Cris Garbo, who is seeking reelection in the upcoming May polls.

Other officials who assisted the mayor in distributing the food packs include Vice Mayor Geld Aquino; and councilors Winwin Garbo, Jun Castro, Noel Castro, Marjorie Sambo, Jerry Magsino, Cocoy Tiglao; Board Member Cherry Manalo and Rox Pena.

Meanwhile, Garbo and Aquino recently visited sick residents in Barangay Mabiga as part of their medical assistance program for the bed ridden individuals.

The ailing residents got cash assistance and prayers from the two officials.

Garbo and Aquino vowed to continue programs for physically challenged individuals, senior citizens, solo parents, women, youth and other sectors.
