THE FF Cruz Shipping Corp. (FFCSC) has announced that it is opening a new route connecting neighboring Negros Islands and Panay and through its ports located in Barangay Mantaangan, EB Magalona town in Negros Occidental and Barangay Bay-ang, Ajuy in Iloilo.

FFCSC, in a statement, said it will formally inaugurate the said route to the public in two separate events Friday, March 25.

The launch will jump off in EB Magalona Port in the morning followed by another ceremony in Ajuy Port in the afternoon.

Key personnel from the local government units and agencies are expected to grace the events. As part of the activity, a number of guests from the EB Magalona launch will be part of the route's maiden roll-on, roll-off (roro) voyage, as they will be ferried off to attend the Ajuy launch.

Through this shorter route, FFCSC guarantees faster travel time, with estimated port-to-port transfer in just one hour and 20 minutes, the firm said.

"In effect, it also offers more economical and predictable sailing times as compared to other available routes," it said, adding that aside from the local industrial producers and logistics companies, tourists traveling to other areas in the Visayas region will also experience a more convenient traveling journey via this route.

FFCSC has been one of the safest and reliable roll-on, roll-off (roro) operators in the region for the past 26 years. (with PR)
