ENTREPRENEUR Kelie Ko has been elected as the new president of Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).
He succeeded Steven Yu, who is now MCCI’s immediate past president.
Ko is the general manager of KGK Management Inc., a property development/management company. His family own several properties in Cebu which are now converted into warehouses, commercial and residential projects.
Ko’s previous role was MCCI’s vice president for external affairs. He has been actively involved in chamber activities since 2012.
Ko became the chairperson of the Mandaue Business Month, an annual activity organized by the MCCI, from 2019 to 2021.
Besides Ko, MCCI also elected new members of the board on March 11, 2022.
They were Marvey Alcantara, general manager of Multimax Foam Industries Corp (Uratex); Margo Frasco, creative director of MDF Productions Inc.; Samuel Lao, president and chief executive officer of Realty Options Marketing and Consultancy Inc.; and Walter Ong, vice president for corporate management and development services at Worldwide Steel Corp.
Amado Go, president of Cenapro Chemical Corp.; Ko; Edgar Allan Po, assistant manager of Winner Plastic Product Corp.; and Mark Anthony Ynoc, general manager of San Remigio Properties were also reelected.
The eight elected members will be joining the incumbent board consisting of MCCI outgoing president Yu, chairman and chief executive officer of Alliance Pacific Resources Corp.; Michelle Co-Lin, head of CTBC Bank RBG Vismin-Business Center; Barbara Gothong-Tan, president and chief executive officer of A.D. Gothong Manufacturing Corp.; Beverly Dayanan, president and chief operating officer of Contempo Property Holdings Inc.; Calvin Gothong, president and chief operating officer of Carlos A. Gothong Lines Inc.; Adrian Lee, proprietor of Ngohiong Express Proprietor; and John King, managing director of King’s Quality Food Inc.
