Eugenio: Pursuit of knowledge

A quote from the famous physicist, Albert Einstein, reads, “As our circle of knowledge expands, so does the circumference of the darkness around it.”

I have been pondering on this quote for sometime as it truly made me think. I have thought of knowledge as this light that shines over ignorance, but I questioned why Albert Einstein would say that darkness would still linger despite its light. Then, one day, it hit me.

For more than 10 years, I have been honing and ever expanding my skills and knowledge as a Feng Shui master. To this day, I have never skipped a day of studying and sharpening my knowledge. However, as I delve deeper into Feng Shui, I begin asking questions—questions that I would never have asked without my prior knowledge in Feng Shui. This is when I realized that the darkness Albert Einstein referred to wasn’t a dead end, but an opportunity.

With my passion and Man Luck to pursue more knowledge, I started asking questions that required even more knowledge and wisdom to answer. I, then, realized that this lack of knowledge is the darkness Albert Einstein referred to. If I had never realized how much more knowledge I needed, I would never have grown as a person and a Feng Shui master.

As people with up and down sides, it is impossible for us to know it all and have it all. More often than not, people we see on a daily basis probably aren’t the most whole people we think they are. Others often don’t know themselves completely as well. Knowing that we aren’t whole people shouldn’t be where we stop as no matter how far we fall, we can also go back up with the right exertion of Man Luck and maximizing Heaven Luck.

Having a helping hand in whatever journeys we have is always a wonderful thing to have. Guidance and companionship can almost certainly help us in any rough patch we may face. With effort and knowledge of oneself, we are able to overcome any obstacle in our way. Perhaps our different journeys may be rockier than expected; maybe we will get hurt in the way, but despite all of that, we must face the darkness head on and illuminate it with knowledge. After all, “In every difficulty, there is opportunity” as once said by Albert Einstein.
