Sasmuan tourism office hosts exhibit on women empowerment

THE Sasmuan Arts Culture and Tourism Office is now hosting an visual arts exhibit on women empowerment at the Municipal Hall showcasing works of local Kapampangan and guest artists.

The exhibit entitled Obra Maestra is visual arts exhibit that aims to “inspire aspiring young artist to continue their dreams and passion to become successful artists” and the town’s culmination activity in celebration of the National Women’s Month this March.

The exhibit showcases works of Emmanuel Cabrera, Aljun Tolentino, Anton Jan Pena, Ryan Cabrera, Concon Cabrera, Cashimeer Turla and Miggyella Turla. Works include artworks in various mediums of expressions.

The exhibit was formally opened to the public on Monday, March 28, by Board Member Fritzie Dizon, together with Municipal Council Committee Chair on Education Culture and the Arts Ryan Cabrera and Councilor Committee Chairman on Women and Gender Equality Rowena Lozano, Tourism Officer Jayson Salenga, Municipal Social Welfare and Development officer Remedios Velasco.

The exhibit will last until March 31 at the 2nd Floor of the municipal town hall.
