A RESIDENTIAL development dubbed Ashana Coast Residences will soon rise near the coast in Barangay Catarman in the town of Liloan in northern Metro Cebu.

This is after Contempo Property Holdings Inc., the project developer, held a groundbreaking ceremony of its latest project along with the town officials led by Mayor Christina Garcia-Frasco, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

Beverly Dayanan, president and chief executive officer of Contempo Property Holdings, said this new project will serve as the joy of coastal living, citing the word Ashana as “good for the heart.”

“After all that we’ve been through all our struggles and challenges, our sacrifices and losses, we deserve to have something good for the heart,” Dayanan said, adding that the homes are located in a perfect place in the town of Liloan, which has become a model for economic and sustainable development.

Exclusive pocket-community

Lilu Aliño, marketing communication consultant, said Ashana Coast Residences is an exclusive residential project with 128 house and lot units.

The project features four house models that are designed to easily incorporate a home office, fitness area, sanitation nook, prayer wall and enough space for a home garden.

It also boasts of amenities like a multi-purpose clubhouse, fitness gym, parks and playground, infinity pool, basketball court and barbecue station.

It would also have a sea and sky viewing deck, jogging trails, blooms park, edible garden, wellness zones and chapel.

The development will also have a commercial strip that will house essential stores like a water and laundry station, convenience store and a coffee shop.

Liloan’s cityhood

Dayanan expressed her deepest gratitude to the town officials for their support of their vision to create jobs for the Liloanon and to bring value to the promising municipality which is soon to be a city of Liloan.

Frasco expressed her deep gratitude for the confidence that Contempo has put into Liloan, which she said has strived and remained strong amid the challenges.

“We have made such great efforts at increasing the livability in Liloan. And I’d like to believe that we have seen the fruits of this labor because in 2019, we only had a population of 119,000,” Frasco said, adding that they have studied the pillars of livability to make sure that they regulate closely the town’s urban development and balance it with sustainability and inclusivity.

Frasco said the new developments in the town will attract more people to move to Liloan and help them in their bid for cityhood as they increase the town’s population.

“We foresee that Ashana will add to the already thriving and sustainable community that we have here where we encouraged a balance between modernity and caring for and living among beautiful environments,” she said.

Meanwhile, Frasco believed that cityhood is just around the corner, citing that they have complied with the population requirement at 153,197 and that her husband Fifth District Rep. Vincent “Duke” Frasco already filed the bill for the cityhood.
