JOINT police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives have arrested a high-value target drug personality in an anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay.
Police Colonel Albert Larubis, Zamboanga Sibugay police director, identified the arrested suspect as Norvie Kasim alias Weng-Weng, 27.
Larubis said that Kasim was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 8:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Purok Neptune in Bangkerohan, Ipil, the capital of Zamboanga Sibugay.
Larubis said that Kasim is listed by PDEA as the top 5 drug personality in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay.
Recovered from the suspect were some five grams of suspected shabu with an estimated worth of P34,000, 27 pieces of P1,000 bill as boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 bill as marked money, according to Larubis.
He said that the suspect was detained while formal charges are set to be filed against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
