MABALACAT City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo, Vice Mayor Gerald Aquino and members of the City Council from Team MCG received high satisfaction ratings from Mabalaqueños, a recent survey showed.

In a Public Opinion Survey (POS), respondents were asked: “Paano ninyo po gagaraduhan ang naging performance ng inyong kasalukuyang mga Leader?” (How would you rate the performance of your current leaders?)

Garbo earned an 85 percent voters satisfaction rating (good to very good). He also earned the trust of practically the A to E socio-economic class, Class ABC (88 percent), D (86.1 percent), and E (78.6 percent), including age groups 18 to 29 years old (92.3 percent), 30 to 49 years old (805 percent), and 50 years old above (82.8 percent).

Garbo’s running-mate, Aquino, garnered an 80 percent voters’ satisfaction rating. This also merits a high satisfaction rating from respondents belonging to Class ABC (82 percent), D (80.6 percent), and E (76.2 percent), and age groups 18 to 29 years old (76.9 percent), 30 to 49 years old (83.1 percent), and 50 years old above (79.3 percent).

The POS was conducted by Probe Data Processing and Research Services, the same polling firm that also projected Team MCG victory in 2019. The survey was commissioned by one of the country’s top corporations. It is considered the most credible non-partisan and scientific survey that is complete with methodologies, demographics, and other necessary research and polling elements.

Garbo and Aquino expressed their elation over people’s satisfaction on their performance, saying the survey turnout serves as a gauge on their effectiveness as elected officials.

Garbo said the results are a big boost to their candidacy as they seek new mandates from the Mabalaqueños.

The POS also showed Garbo and Aquino leading the race over their competitors, earning 75.5 percent and 71 percent of voters’ preference, respectively. The survey was conducted from February 23 to 25, 2022.

Majority of the Team MCG council slate landed their respective spot on the roster of most preferred councilorables: Jun Castro (73 percent), Cherry Manalo (47.5 percent), Noel Castro (43 percent), Marjorie Sambo (38 percent), Jerry Magsino (35.5 percent), Liza Pineda (32.5 percent), Timothy Dee (31.5 percent), Carl Dizon (21.5 percent), Doc Cocoy Tiglao (21.5 percent), and Rox Peña (17.5 percent).

In March 2022 Argus Polls Inc. survey, Garbo posted a 63 percent lead over his competitors.

An independent survey conducted on more than 5,000 residents from December 9 to 21 also favored Garbo and Aquino, accruing 74.97 percent and 64.17 percent, respectively.

Additionally, the recent survey was conducted among 200 respondents aged 18 years old and above through face-to-face, and door-to-door interviews using a structured questionnaire via Tablet Assisted Personal Interview.

The survey has a +/- 6.93 percent margin of error and a 95 percent confidence level.
