Cagayan de Oro vaccinated individuals now over 540,000

A TOTAL of 548,576 residents aged 12 and above in Cagayan de Oro have completed their doses of Covid-19 vaccine, according to the City Health Office.

However, only 122,571 residents aged 18 years and older have gotten their booster shots, medical officer Dr. Teodoro Yu Jr. said.

Yu urged the adult population who have already received their second dose of Covid-19 vaccine to avail themselves of the free booster shots offered by the government.

Those who have completed the primary series of Covid-19 vaccines can have their booster shots two to three months after they received their second dose.

Yu added that the booster shot will add protection and strengthen a person's resistance against the coronavirus disease.

Meanwhile, the vaccination sites in SM CDO Downtown Premier, SM City Cagayan de ORo and Tagpangi Elementary School will remain open for vaccinations for five to 11 year olds on Wednesday, April 13.

Vaccination sites for individuals 12 years and above are also open in Limketkai; SM CDO Downtown Premier drive-thru; public terminals in Barangay Bulua and Agora; Barangay Health Centers in Camaman-an, Indahag, Cugman, Agusan, Xavier Heights, Pagatpat, Carmen, Iponan, and Nazareth; and house-to-house vaccination in Macanhan, Carmen.
