ONE hundred fifty-seven families displaced by flash floods have received relief assistance from the Zamboanga City Government through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
CSWDO Chief Ma. Socorro Rojas said that her office provided relief aid Wednesday, April 13, to 53 families displaced by floods in Sitio Osaka in Canelar village, Zamboanga City.
Rojas said that 29 affected families in Tugbungan village and 75 families in Mampang village received relief assistance on Tuesday, April 12.
Rojas said the relief goods include 10 kilos of rice, canned goods and noodles, among others.
The city experienced intermittent rains the past days causing flash floods in several areas spawned by Tropical Depression Agaton coupled with low pressure area. (SunStar Zamboanga)
