WITH the steady low number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Central Luzon, the National Inter-Agency Task Force announced that the region will remain under Alert Level 1 from April 16 to 30, 2022.
Central Luzon is joining 48 other provinces and nine component cities and municipalities under the said alert level, which is the most relaxed level yet implemented during this pandemic.
Under Alert Level 1, intrazonal and interzonal travel will be allowed without regard to age and comorbidities.
All establishments, persons, or activities are allowed to operate, work, or be undertaken at full on-site or venue/seating capacity provided it is consistent with minimum public health standards.
Based on the data from the Department of Health, as of April 16, the number of active cases in the region was 1,881.
The region logged only 31 new cases on the said day, bringing the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases to 361,478.
The number of recoveries was 352,981 and deaths were 6,616.
