A TOTAL of 100 farmers have benefitted from the Department of Agriculture’s High-Value Crop Development Program (HVCDP) in the province of Zamboanga del Sur.
Desiree Arriola, Regional HVCDP focal person, said the outreach was conducted last week in Simata village, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur.
Arriola that the farmers received assorted HVCDP information, education and communication (IEC) materials, assorted vegetable seeds, and plastic packs of biological control agents.
He said the activity was held in line with the celebration of the High-Value Crops Week 2022 of the Department of Agriculture in the region.
The outreach activity was conducted in coordination with the Municipal Agriculturist Office of Molave, Arriola added.
Aside from Arriola, other staffs of the Department of Agriculture in the region and from the town of Molave provided the farmers with information about the programs and services of the agency. (SunStar Zamboanga)
