THE Angeles City Government is hosting an exhibit featuring artworks about nature in time for the celebration of Earth Day 2022.

Dubbed as “Pamanyese King Indung Gabun” (Nurturing Mother Earth), the art exhibit features the works of Dr. Vittorio Pantig.

The art exhibit, which officially opened on April 18 and will run until May 1, 2022 at the ground floor of Marquee Mall, is one of the many efforts of the leadership of Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr., through the City Tourism Office led by Anneleen Antonio-Sugui, to help artists get back on their feet.

Aside from the art exhibit, the city will also launch the Coffee Table Art Book of Dr. Pantig called "Obrang Dutung, a 25-year Journey."

“Our artists, who have been one of the most affected sectors during the pandemic, are prioritized in these recovery initiatives. With that, we are exerting more efforts to provide venues for art exhibits,” Lazatin said.

Lazatin vowed that the city will always provide support and assistance to various sectors and the local artists.

Various art exhibits were made possible through partnerships between malls and business establishments. To recall, Lazatin asked them to showcase artists and their artworks by providing free avenue.

Present during the ceremony were Vice Mayor Vicenta Vega-Cabigting, Executive Assistant V Rafael Angeles, Herminia Pamintuan (wife of CDC Chairman Edgardo Pamintuan), Peachy Atendido (General Manager of MarQuee Mall), Joel Pabustan Mallari (Cluster Head, Kapampangan, Tagalog, and Sambal), and Norman Tiotuico (Kapampangan Artist).

Other local artists were also present during the opening ceremonies.
