2 nabbed in Zamboanga City anti-drug sting

TWO people were arrested while P112,200 worth of illegal drugs were seized in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Tuesday, April 19.

Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspects as Joe Alvin Ranoco, 45, and Ryan Gulmayo, 42.

Lorenzo said the suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 9:32 p.m. Monday, April 18, at Zone 2 in Pasabolong village, Zamboanga City.

Confiscated from the suspects were some 16.5 grams of shabu packed in six transparent heat-sealed plastic sachets worth P112,200, a motorcycle, 12 pieces of P1,000 bills boodle money topped with two genuine P100 bills as marked money, a coin purse, a body bag, and an empty pack of cigarette, according to Lorenzo.

He said the arrested suspects were placed under the custody of ZCPO's Station 4 pending the filing of formal charges against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
