La Plage Club set to wow Cebu with non-stop, 52-hour party

WHEN you’re in Cebu, there’s bound to be a party around every corner, but can any of them match the ferocity of the La Plage Club’s 52-hour, nonstop grand reopening? After facing several lockdowns due to the pandemic, plus the havoc wreaked by Typhoon Odette, the La Plage Club is coming back, and it’s coming back stronger than ever.

Located in Cebu’s North Reclamation Area, La Plage is an outdoor pool club that’s only a few minutes away from SM City Cebu, Parkmall and bai Hotel, making it highly accessible to everyone who’s looking for a great time. Why go to a beach to get wet and wild, when you can do it at La Plage?

In the past, La Plage partnered up with HYDRO Manila and brought it to Cebu with the Hydro Cebu Music Festival during Sinulog 2020. This year, they’re gearing up for a revamped experience that will leave their guests wanting for more.

Led by general manager Imran Sadiq, who has 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, La Plage has a dazzling range of performances in store. From fire shows and foam parties to aerial dancers and whatnot, La Plage calls on the elements of fire, water and air before it brings its guests back down to earth with its strong lineup of 26 DJs.

Each DJ is scheduled to play for two hours, and VIP guests staying in cabanas have a chance for a meet and greet. One of the DJs is Guinness Book of World Records holder, Norberto Loco from Ireland. He holds the world record for “The Longest Marathon DJ Set.”

Returning guests can also expect a few surprises in store because La Plage has undergone renovations to improve its look, proving that it deserves to be the best outdoor club in Cebu.

Safety and security are among the top priorities at La Plage.

Its staff is fully vaccinated with booster shots, and regular health protocols are still in place—this includes wearing of a face mask. Guests are expected to fill out contact tracing forms, and are subject to a temperature check upon entry.

The club has a zero tolerance policy and has heightened security measures to prevent untoward incidents during the 52-hour party. CCTV cameras, bouncers and K-9 units are constantly on the clock to ensure guests are safe. La Plage also offers transportation services to and from the club for added safety and convenience.

The party starts at 6 p.m. on April 29, and ends at 10 p.m. on May 1. Tickets offering one-day and two-day access are available for purchase. Reservations and other arrangements can be made via the La Plage Club Facebook page.
