THE Iloilo City Community College (ICCC) has returned to conducting face-to-face classes following approval from Commission on Higher Education (Ched).
Mayor Jerry Treñas has encouraged universities to consider going back to school even as City Hall has offered free swab test required for medical and nursing students upon request from their management.
This, after Ched-Western Visayas Director Raul C. Alvarez Jr. issued a “Certificate of Authority to Reopen Campus for the Conduct of Limited Face-to-Face Classes” to ICCC.
This covered ICCC’s two courses Bachelor of Science (BS) in Travel Management and BS in Office Administration.
The resumption of face-to-face classes was granted to ICCC after having complied with the requirements of Ched and Department of Health under Joint Memorandum Circular 2021-001 effective April 11, 2022-April 10, 2023.
Ched clarified the authority shall be subject to revocation if the institution fails to maintain and to comply with rules and regulations pertaining to limited face-to-face classes. (PR)
