Looters ransack resto in DSB

UNIDENTIFIED suspects ransacked a restaurant at Barangay Igmaya-an in Don Salvador Benedicto town, Negros Occidental Thursday, April 28.

Don Salvador Benedicto Municipal Police Station Captain Eugene Tolentino said the suspects destroyed the wooden window brace of the Koi Koi’s Bistro and carted away P58,000 in cash.

Tolentino said that there was nobody inside the restaurant when the looting happened as the personnel who sleeps in the establishment went home.

He said that the establishment has no security camera making it difficult for them to identify the suspects.

Meanwhile, Tolentino said that the suspects in the robbery incident at Tambayan Café and Carwash also in Don Salvador Benidecto on Wednesday, April 27, could be from the neighboring towns and cities.

At about 7 p.m., four men armed with short firearms arrived at the café, pretended to be customers and later declared a hold-up taking about P33,000 in cash from the cashier and the customers.

Tolentino said three of the suspects were wearing bonnets while the other one did not cover his face.

With the successive robbery and looting incidents in some business establishments in Don Salvador Benedicto, Tolentino warned the owners to implement additional precautionary measures.*
