Salva KOs Galero

SAMUEL Salva didn’t break a sweat after a quick knockout of fellow former world title challenger Jeffrey Galero last April 30, 2022, in Dangcagan, Bukidnon.

Salva stopped Galero in the opening of their scheduled eight-rounder.

Salva, rated No. 31 by the World Boxing Council, got his first win two years after being sidelined during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Salva improved to 19-1 with 12 knockouts, while Galero lost his third straight fight and dropped to 17-8 with eight knockouts.

The 25-year-old Salva lost to Pedro Taduran via a fourth-round stoppage in their International Boxing Federation minimumweight title fight in 2019.

On the other hand, Lito Dante (18-11-4, 10 KOs) stopped Ryan Ralozo (11-37-2, 2 KOs) in the second round in the main supporting bout.

In the undercard, Jerald Palcar (16-5-3, 9 KOs) scored a second-round technical knockout of Jenuel Lauza (5-11, 5 KOs), while Alexis Abilar (3-1, 2 KOs) John Rey Lauza (13-24-5, 6 KOs) in the third round.
