THE Special Program for Employment of Students (Spes) of the City Government of San Fernando will have its new batch of beneficiaries this 2022, composed of 200 college and senior high school students.

The beneficiaries have undergone orientation on April 29, 2022 at Heroes Hall for their face-to-face deployment that included discussions on the workplace rules, laws, and regulations, office decorum, compensation, and benefits, led by two of City’s human resource management officers, Regie Dayrit and Gian Carlo Angeles.

According to City Employment Service Division Chief Meilyn Gallarde, the entire selection process – from application to assessment – ran from March to April of this year.

The actual work in different City Government offices will begin on May 10 and will end after 20 working days, equivalent to a 160-hour work.

Even in the middle of the pandemic in the last two years, Spes did not stop from providing short-term employment to “poor but deserving” students as it was conducted remotely where beneficiaries worked at their homes and communities. (PR)
