AS THEcampaign period reached its final stretch, presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo reminded her supporters of the core reason behind ignited volunteerism and unity since filed her candidacy for president.
In a three-minute video, Robredo said that the fight for presidency is aimed at constituting an inclusive government that will stamp out the old and unjust politics that will result in the elevation of the quality of lives of many Filipinos who are suffering from poverty.
She reiterated that her “Angat Buhay Pilipino” campaign is a comprehensive economic recovery plan that is crafted to solve the root cause of social problems, and will center the needs of Filipino people.
Among the priorities under the said program is the generation of more livelihood that is inclusive to Filipinos of different ages and skillsets.
“Unang priyoridad ang kakulangan ng sapat na kabuhayan. Kung mawalan ng trabaho, may tatlong buwang ayuda at kung hindi pa rin makahanap ng kapalit, ang mismo ang magbibigay ng trabaho sa inyo,” Robredo said.
She added that skills livelihood training will also be made available and accessible to all to ensure the continuous learning of Filipino workers.
The opposition bet also vowed to prioritize the healthcare of all Filipinos by reforming the current system of PhilHealth.
“Dapat bawat pamilya ay may access sa libreng doktor. Pagandahin pa lalo ang Pantawid Pamilyan Pilipino program at isasama sa conditional cash transfer ang mga nanay at kanilang sanggol sa unang 1,000 days para tiyak ang kalusugan ng mag-ina,” she said.
She also assured students, parents and the academe of the crafting of comprehensive plan to solve the education crisis which will start in allocating additional budget for the sector.
“Prayoridad ng Angat Buhay Pilipino ang iba pang sektor tulad ng agrikultura, pangisdaan, turismo, transportasyon, manufacturing at infrastructure. Palalakasin ang private-public partnership at tatawid sa digital economy kaya ang pakiusap ko ay walang bibitiw at sama-sama tayong gigising na kulay rosas ang bukas,” Robredo said.
