THE total number of active coronavirus cases in Pampanga went down to 58 cases, with only four new cases recorded Friday, May 6, 2022.
The Department of Health’s (DOH) official coronavirus tracker places the total number of confirmed cases in the Pampanga since the start of the pandemic at some 88,387 cases with 86,473 recoveries.
Coronavirus-related deaths in Pampanga have not increased from the 1,856 recorded cases since last month, according to the DOH.
Pampanga has reported some 34 coronavirus cases in the last 14 days. While Angeles City reported another 26 cases for the same period.
No virus-related death was recorded in the last 14 days.
Majority of the 45 health facilities in the province are now experiencing a decrease in the number of bed occupancies.
The rate of occupancy in the region is currently at 1.1 percent, the lowest yet since the omicron variant surge. This means that 689 of the total 702 hospital beds in Pampanga devoted to coronavirus cases are currently available.
Some 40 health facilities in Pampanga are currently at the safe level with the ongoing decrease in cases.
