Spanking new, sleek, spic and span—this is the brand new addition to the Cokaliong fleet named MV Filipinas Agusan del Norte. The 14th roll on/roll off passenger vessel of Cokaliong Shipping Lines Inc. (CSLI) is now plying the Cebu/Nasipit (Agusan) route.

During its blessing and inauguration two full moons ago, there were five guests of honor: former Philippine Vice President Jejomar Binay, Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama, former Rep. and Presidential Spokesperson lawyer Harry Roque, Samar Rep. Edgar Mary Sarmiento and newly elected Cebu Congresswoman Rachel Del Mar. Playing host was CSLI founder, chief executive officer/chief operating officer Chester Cokaliong and wife Ann, together with daughter, lawyer Chesna Cokaliong who is his chief of staff, and the rest of the family—Chase, Chanel and Chaz.

The ultra-modern MV Filipinas Agusan del Norte has a unique inverted backward-sloping ship bow design and is outfitted with state-of-the-art navigational equipment for the ultimate in passenger comfort and safety.
