Reelected Maglanque calls for unity

CANDABA – Reelected Mayor Rene Maglanque of this town has called for unity among newly-elected officials and all Candabeños as the local election has finally culminated.

Maglanque, who won by a big margin with 39,194 votes against lone challenger Aniway Baylon with 27,068 votes, urged his fellow Candabeños to leave all political differences behind and be united with the common vision of further developing their town.

In his second term, Maglanque said he will continue the expansion of the Candaba Community Hospital and the Don Honorio Ventura State University Candaba campus to better cater the medical and educational needs of Candabeños.

He also assured the fulfillment of his campaign promise to address the needs of the agriculture sector, particularly irrigation and storage of crops, to ensure the growth of the livelihood of around 9,000 farmers in town.

Aside from Maglanque, also elected were newcomer Engr. Resty Sibug for vice mayor, and Thelma Macapagal, RamJ Maglanque, Jao Bondoc, Maine Santiago, Cha Dela Cruz, Nelson Alonzo, Reyn Baylon, and Quenie Culala for councilors.
