AN ESTIMATED P163,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug bust operation by the operatives of Bacolod City Police Station 8 at Henrietta Village in Barangay Singcang-Airport around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022.
The operation also led to the arrest of Mark Lester Andag, 42, of Salvacion Subdivision, Barangay 6, Zone 5, Victorias City.
Major Joery Puerto, commander of Police Station 8, said the suspect was arrested after he sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer.
Police recovered from Andag’s possession four big plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 20 grams and the P3,500 marked money.
Puerto said Andag was identified as a street level individual in Bacolod City.
He was jailed for violation of illegal drugs in Victorias City in 2016, but he was released through plea bargaining in 2019.
The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 8. He will be charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
