Have a penchant for fancy airport lounges, or simply want to enjoy a cup of coffee, a delectable meal, or a glass of cocktail in an airport lounge? You don’t need to book a flight anymore! Just sit yourself at the newest brunch and bar place in the city located at Streetscape in Banilad, Cebu City.

Adding to Cebu City’s roster of brunch and bar establishments is Dine, which features modern takes on comfort food, inventive twists on cocktails, good-tasting quality coffee, and airport lounge-inspired interior that will surely charm café-goers.

The buzz this new place is creating is attractive and contagious, and it’s giving Cebuanos more reason to check it out and its customers more reason to keep coming back.

In fact, right after its soft opening, Dine became instant Instagram famous as most posts from young adult Cebuanos were all about this new brunch spot and bar—from the interior and exterior to its well-prepared and aesthetically pleasing food, and enticing cocktails.

As a food establishment that has the same owners and management as Open Kitchen Cebu, a food delivery service that has been serving gourmet meals to its customers’ tables fresh from its cloud kitchen, Dine’s menu is promising, and innovative.

Think of chicken and waffles, steak and egg, beef ragu, ube pancake, lemon pepper and chimichurri wings but make them equally beautiful and delicious and with more zest.

Like for example its best-selling chicken and waffle that boasts on its crispy-on-the-outside-and-fluffy-in-the-inside waffles topped with golden fried chicken fillet, maple syrup and special creamy gravy on the side, what looks like a mashed potato on top is actually a butter infused with maple syrup.

Same with its made-from-scratch three-layer ube pancake which has scooped ube with garnish on top that looks like a scoop of ube ice cream. But if you fancy the classic pancake, you have the liberty to choose your toppings: bacon, eggs and cheese; banana nutella, mangoes and cream, or without topping at all.

According to its executive chef Anna Ng, and head chef Van Roe Vivar, who are both co-owners they took inspiration from all their travels around the world, and added some twists for a unique touch, “Since the pandemic restricted us to travel, we thought of bringing our favorites from our travels to Cebu served in an airport lounge setting to take our taste buds to a trip around the world.”

What’s the best way to complete your brunch than a tall glass of cocktail of your choice? From mimosa, amaretto sour, gin and tonic to sangria, Dine got you covered. Its signature cocktails cranberry gin fizz, and gin and basil smash are surprisingly refreshing. But if you fancy coffee, it serves nothing but a good cup of coffee from The Good Cup Coffee Company.

The Insta-famous café has alfresco and indoor dining spaces, both with designer furniture, green plants, and an overall chill vibe which is ideal for catching up with friends, unwinding after work, or even working—if you need a breath of fresh air, or a drink and food that will help you get your creative juices flowing.

Dine is open from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. on weekends.
