THE Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) scored anew in its anti-drug campaign, arresting two people and seizing P149,600 worth of illegal drugs in separate buy-bust operations in Zamboanga City, an official announced Monday, May 16.
Arrested in separate anti-drug operations were Ronie Manualis, 31, and Geraldine Brillantes, 45, according to Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, ZCPO director.
Lorenzo said Manualis was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 12:19 a.m. Monday, May 16, in Sta. Catalina village.
Manualis yielded 20 grams of shabu packed in two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets with P136,000, a black sock, a bill of P1,000 boodle money topped with two P100 bills as marked money.
Brillantes, on the other hand, yielded P13,600 worth of shabu when arrested in another anti-drug operation around 8:55 a.m. Sunday, May 15, on Guyabano Drive along Lustre Street in Sta. Catalina village.
Lorenzo said also recovered from the suspect were P200 marked money.
He said the two suspects have been under surveillance prior to the launch of the anti-drug operations.
The suspects were detained pending the filing of charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Zamboanga)
