A MOTHER is seeking the help of the public to help find the househelp who took her four-month-old baby girl.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in Sitio Sangi, Barangay Madridejos, Alegria town, where the househelp identified as Edelyn Homecillo asked permission to bring the child to a “manghihilot” (massuese/masseur) but Homecillo failed to come back until morning of the following day, prompting the mother to seek help from the police.

Accompanied by police, Marivic Loduvice, the child’s mother, went to the house of Homecillo in Sitio Buyongan in the mountains of Barangay Valencia, Alegria town; but the nanny was not around.

They also checked the CCTV cameras at the town’s seaport and bus terminal to trace the suspect.

PMSgt. Canicio Amatril, desk officer of the Alegria Police Station, called on the public to report any sightings of the suspect to the nearest police station in their locality.

In a message posted on her Facebook page, the child’s aunt Jenny dela Peña appealed to the nanny to return the infant.

“Pahibalo kong kinsay naka ila aning bayhana og naka kita palihog kog pm nako or ni Arnix dela Peña kay kaning bataa gi kidnap aning iyang yaya kaning naas picture kaning tigulang mao ni yaya aning bata iyang sulte iya rang ipahilot ang bata kahapon nya na abot nalang og karon wala pa japon gi uli wala mi kabalo og asa niya gidala ang bata palihog kog share ani nga post tabangi mi ninyo (Those who have knowledge or have seen this woman as shown in the picture, please message me or Arnix dela Peña because she kidnapped the baby whom she said she would bring to a massager (manghihilot) yesterday but has not come back until today. We don’t know where she brought the child. Please help us, share this post),” dela Peña said. (TPT)
