THE total number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Pampanga is now down to 40, with only five new cases recorded Wednesday, May 18, 2022.
The Department of Health’s (DOH) official coronavirus tracker showed that the total number of Covid-19 cases in the province stood at 88,451, with 86,555 recoveries.
Covid-19 deaths in Pampanga have not increased from the 1,856 recorded cases since last week, according to the DOH.
Pampanga has reported 27 Covid-19 cases in the last 14 days, while Angeles City reported 50 cases for the same period.
Majority of the 45 health facilities in the province are now experiencing a decrease in the number of bed occupancies.
The rate of occupancy in the region is currently at 2.1 percent, one of the lowest yet since the Omicron variant surge. This means that 712 of the total 739 hospital beds in Pampanga devoted for coronavirus cases are currently available.
Some 40 health facilities in Pampanga are currently in the safe level with the ongoing decrease of cases.
