AT least six persons were arrested by the police for illegal cockfighting (tigbakay) game in Barangay Anonang, Buenavista town, Bohol 11:40 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2022.
They are Santos Bautista, 48; Ricardo Añasco, 47; Geo Torreon, 23; Julieto Beoco, 48; eodoro Bautista, 62; and Rodrigo Torrefel, 51.
Staff Sergeant Daryl Esclamado of Buenavista Police Station said two others who were able to elude arrest, namely Rolando Pacaldo and Junilo Lofranco, will also be charged with illegal cockfighting.
The police were able to confiscate from the scene two fighting cocks fitted with blades and P440 bet money. (BBT, TPT)
