SSS, returned updating member's contact information to My.SSS

THE Social Security System (SSS) announced that members can now update contact information online starting May 16, 2022 after the agency returned online updating of records to the My.SSS portal.

In a statement, SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Regino said that members with My.SSS account can now update or change their contact details such as phone number, mobile number, mailing address, foreign address and e-mail address, without having to go to any SSS branch to submit a member data change request.

For those who do not have contact information other than their mobile number, they can also update their contact details. Meanwhile, if the member does not have a registered mobile number with SSS, he/she needs to go to any SSS branch to submit their mobile number through the Member Data Change Request Form and set an appointment through their My.SSS account, or just walk in based on the number coding scheme. Just be sure to follow the schedule based on the last SSS number.

“We have done everything we can to quickly complete the improvement of My.SSS and give members a more convenient way to update their contact information whether they are at home or office, 24/7. We aim to provide our members with better service and help them with their SSS transactions, ”said Regino.

SSS temporarily suspended the online updating of contact details on My.SSS on August 3, 2021 to allow for the enhancement of the online portal and strengthen its security features to protect members' confidential information.

Online updating of members' contact details has been restored to give them a more convenient and secure way to update their SSS records.

You can update contact information by logging in to their My.SSS account and selecting “Update Contact Info” which can be found under the “Member Info” menu. They can also update or change contact numbers, e-mail addresses and mailing addresses, other than their home address, and submit it online.

SSS will send a notification to the member's e-mail and mobile number. It is only necessary to confirm the request by clicking on the link sent to their email to update their contact details.

Members only have three days to confirm the request because the link will automatically expire after that time and the process will need to be repeated. After confirming the request, the updated contact information will be visible in the system after two days and the member will be notified.

Regino urged all members to make sure to provide updated contact information as this is where SSS will send any messages and updates from the agency.
