REELECTED Councilor Al Victor Espino has expressed support for the proposal of Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran to have a face-to-face (F2F) session at the Bacolod Government Center.

Espino said it is better to have an F2F session because the new set of members of the City Council will assume their post on June 30, 2022.

"I'm an advocate of the F2F session (and) I'd rather have this over zoom teleconference format," he said, adding that he will also wait for the decision of his colleagues if they will support the proposal.

Familiaran earlier said that he already suggested to the City Council to have a F2F session, but majority of them want to continue virtual sessions for safety reasons.

"Hopefully, we can now have our F2F session," the vice mayor said.

The City Council's regular session is held every Wednesday.

They started the virtual sessions in August 2020 via Zoom application after Bacolod City recorded a high number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases.

"Personally, I want to meet them before the new set of the members of the City Council will assume their post on June 30," he added.
