Lacson: My special day well spent

I still believe that God allows things to happen for a reason. I was supposed to join our second quarterly meeting in Aklan when a turn of events helped me change my mind. Believing that Mama Mary intended to save us from a disaster, I decided not to push through with my first ever air travel since the pandemic broke out.

Hence, the weekend which falls on my birthday was all free and waiting to be spent with my family. Since I did not want to travel farther than anywhere outside Pampanga, the first thing in mind would definitely be Clark.

I booked an overnight stay in The Mansion via Agoda. I’m the type who looks for pictures and reviews before finally securing the deal. In the pictures posted, there are several activities that can be done in the boutique hotel such as fire pit and night movie under the stars, biking, swimming, and a whole lot more.

It rained on the afternoon of my birthday, and upon arriving at The Mansion, we stayed inside our room. It was spacious enough for a family of four and it was really neat and well maintained. When finally the rain stopped, we were able to swim in the pools near our room and enjoy the rest of the evening afterwards.

The accommodation comes with a free breakfast for two and with the menu selection, you can also have your kids grab a bite from your own servings. Since it was a sunny morning, we then grabbed the chance to bike and walk around the baseball stadium within the compound. There is also a game room with billiard pools, hockey table, and other board games that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults.

We then decided to check out the pools near the villas and the kids enjoyed swimming and sliding. We maximized the time before we checked out and headed out to the mall to play at the arcade or in the bowling center.

Indeed, the most cherished gift that I got for my birthday this year is the love and warmth of family, friends and coworkers. These are priceless, valuable gifts that I would live to receive next year and in the years to come.
