Great news! There’s now a spanking, sleek academy that will cater to students in Northeastern Cebu. Located on Gemilina St. in Barangay Tayud, Liloan, GT Northeast Academy (GTNA), the school, true to its reputation for academic excellence, is expanding its campus facilities with its very own GTNA recreational and events center (GTNA-REC).
The center serves as a training ground for students to apply their learning in an actual business setting. Among its amenities are a 10-room hotel with deluxe suites and connecting rooms, a function hall good for 120 persons, and Mangga Restaurant, which specializes in hearty, home-cooked dishes. According to school director Jonathan Aaron Salvane, “We are eyeing to give our students hands-on experience and on-field skills in the current hospitality industry.”
GTNA-REC sits on 4,233 square-meter property, and is a 10-minute drive from SM City Consolacion, a 22-minute drive from the Liloan Golf Course and a 25-minute drive from Mactan-Cebu International Airport.
Additional amenities GTNA-REC can boast of are a semi-Olympic pool that can host training and competitions, a lagoon pool and a kiddie jacuzzi-style pool.
GTNA-REC will also be the venue for swimming lessons, integrated into the Physical Education sessions of GTNA students.
“In the future, we will hold swimming competitions to create a competent swimming community in Liloan. Who knows? The next swimming Olympian of the country will come from our community,” Salvane said.
The center also serves as a venue for poolside events and private parties, which grants exclusive use of the lagoon area. They offer customizable packages for all occasions.
GTNA focuses on being the “BEST,” Business, Entrepreneurial, Science and Technology School in Cebu by 2025. This is anchored on the establishment’s strong adherence to the multi-discipline of social sciences.
