SHE took her oath and signed the rolls of attorney at the Supreme Court recently.

Lawyer Anya Yusay was with her parents Eliseo Yusay Jr. and Angela Milagros Yusay and boyfriend lawyer Mark John Simondo when she took her oath and signed into the rolls of attorney.

“It was a rewarding experience (and) I learned valuable lessons that I will use, especially now that I’m a full-fledged lawyer,” Yusay shared, adding that she will never forget what I have gone through, since it molded me to what I am today.

To turn dreams into reality, she stressed that one must be willing to put in the effort.

“I must say that the study of law requires a lot of sacrifices as it monopolizes your time and it constantly expects the best of you, that’s why the experience is so rewarding because it reflects all the challenges you had to overcome to achieve your goal,” she said.

The new lawyer said that she felt grateful that God has allowed her to share this milestone with her parents as without them, she would not be where she is.

She also expressed happiness that her boyfriend was with her throughout her journey.

Now that she is officially a lawyer, she will select deserving individuals every year whom she will help and render pro bono (free) legal services as her way of giving back for all the blessings that God has given her.

She was an exemplary bar passer during the 2020-2021 bar exams held last February 2022 at the University of St La Salle-Bacolod, her Alma Mater.
